Meet Sir Emmanuel

Sir Emmanuel Ndubuisi Mbaka is a pilot of great advances and innovative ideas whose name has become a reference statement of competence and resourcefulness. Sir Mbaka is not just an astute manager of human and material resources, he is a glittering star that is making significant difference among other stars in the dynamic mortgage banking sector of Nigeria.

Born September 26th 1960 to the family of late Chief Bernard and Mary Emeji Mbaka of Obodo, Eluama, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State.

A man of many firsts, in 1974 he bagged 1st grade at Old Court Primary School, Aba, Abia State and thereafter proceeded to National High School, Aba, Abia State and again bagged 1stdivision (1974–1979) Emma, as he is fondly called by his peers, gained admission into the University of Science &Technology, Port Harcourt and again, came out with a first class honours degree in mathematics in 1987. He also has a Masters Degree from Liverpool University, UK.

He is a fellow of three prestigious institutes namely fellow institute of Public Management FIPM), Fellow institute of Government Research (FIGR), Fellow Institute of Corporate Administration, (FCAI) and also Paul Haris Fellow (PHF).

Mbaka started  his career as a lecturer at the famous Kaduna Polytechnic; Kaduna and joined the banking sector as assistant manager with Progress Bank Ltd and worked briefly at their Breadfruit branch Lagos and exited 1990 from the bank.

He was later appointed Managing Director of Frankenstein Nigeria Ltd in 1991 a major distributor of sharp photocopier and HP computer in Nigeria and subsequently, Managing Director of  First Generation Homes Ltd in 2003.

Today, Sir Mbaka is the MD/CEO, Platinum Mortgage Bank Ltd with branches in many states of the Federation and he has taken the bank to the number one spot in the mortgage banking sector. It is noteworthy to mention here that in spite of harsh operating environment; Platinum Mortgage Bank Ltd has become a case study in the mortgage industry.

He was appointed Chairman of the Governing Board of Project Development Agency (PRODA), Enugu state in 2013 by the former President, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

More About Sir Emmanuel

A devotion to the work of God earned him and his family the highly revered, apostolic blessing from His Holiness Benedict XVI in 2008.

In First Generation Homes where he was the pioneer managing director, he created 1,000 mortgages in less than two (2) years and raised the balance sheet of the company from N100M to N3billion in two (2) years and bagged the father of modern mortgage in Nigeria.

A goal–oriented and exceptional personality, who has demonstrated strong ability to build new territories and expand opportunities within existing one, a self- starting, pro- active and motivated individual with good communication and presentation skills.

In order to meet the charity need of his people, he set up the Emmanuel Mbaka Foundation in 2002 to assist the needy. The work of the foundation since inception is immeasurable.

He also has multi-discipline experience acquired through practical application of his expertise, a strong advocate of team building and quality control, Sir Mbaka has effectively and efficiently excelled in the banking industry particularly in the real estate sub-sector in his pursuit to improve the welfare of Nigerians through the provision of quality housing delivery services at affordable cost. He also constructed Africa’s biggest shopping mall at Mabushi, Abuja consisting of five hundred (500) shopping units all ensuite.

A quintessential administrator and philanthropist, his immense contribution to mankind has earned him over fifty seven(57) awards and laurels within and outside the country.

2. 150 Units of 2 and 3 bedroom bungalow and duplexes at Trademore Estate, Dutse Apo, Abuja (2008)

3. 3000 units of various house types at Trademore Mega City Estate, Sabon Lugbe, Abuja subscribed by civil servants and Nigerians generally.

4. 500units of various house types at AperAku Estate, Agan North Bank, Makurdi, Benue State.

5. 50 housing units at Emmanuel Estate, Badagry, Lagos.

6. 500 shopping units and banking halls at Platinum Mega Mall, Mabushi, Abuja

7. 70 units of 6 bedroom Duplexes Detached and 5 bedroom Semi- detached duplexes at katampe Hills, Kubwa Express, Abuja

8. 150 units of 2 and 3 bedroom at Minfa/ FMBNPPP Estate in Naze, Owerri Imo State
